Mission Statement: To empower children with essential sewing and fashion skills, fostering creativity, self-expression, and confidence.

 

Objectives:

1. Teach fundamental sewing techniques and safety guidelines.

2. Encourage creativity through fashion design and expression.

3. Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

4. Foster self-confidence and self-expression through hands-on projects.

5. Promote sustainability and eco-friendliness in fashion.

 

Target Audience: Children aged 8-16.

 

Program Structure:

Beginner (8-16 years): Basic sewing skills, simple projects (e.g., tote bags, pillowcases).

 

Class Format:

1. Weekly 2-hour sessions. Every Saturday 12pm to 2pm.

2. Small class sizes (max 10 students).

3. Hands-on instruction and guidance.

 

Beginner Level:

1. Introduction to sewing machines and tools.

2. Basic stitches and seam finishing.

3. Simple projects (e.g., tote bags, pillowcases).

 

Materials and Supplies:

1. Sewing machines and tools.

2. Fabric and notions.

3. Patterns and instructional materials.

Instructors:

1. Experienced sewing and fashion professionals.

2. Background checks and CPR/First Aid certification.

 

Fees and Payment:

£5 Per 2-hour Session 

Evaluation and Assessment:

1. Student feedback and surveys.

2. Project-based assessments.

3. Skill-level progression tracking.
